Dr. Prabir Kumar Kundu is Professor & Head of the Department of Endocrine, Nutrition & Metabolic Diseases, and in charge of the Diabetes Clinic, at the School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata. He has been in medical practice for over three decades, and in addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Kundu is currently also available for consultation at The Apollo Clinic (Salt Lake), and the Dr. B C Roy Polyclinic (Wellington Square).

Dr. Kundu has been a Principal Investigator for many research projects under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India), and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). He has published original as well as review articles in national and international peer-reviewed Journals. He has been invited to deliver Guest Lectures by the University Grants Commission, as well as the Indian Medical Association and the Diabetes Associations of states such as Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam. Dr. Kundu has organised numerous conferences, and also regularly speaks, chairs sessions, moderates panel discussions and serves as faculty at conferences, seminars and other medical events in West Bengal and other states.
